          Khalsa Diwan Malaysia was established on the 27th Of December, 1903 which coincided with Guru Gobind Singh's Birthday. The organization was formed by the Malay States Guides and the inaugural meeting was held at the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Taiping aka Gurdwara Sahib Taiping.

 Programmes that were held in conjunction with the Anniversary.

 *    Gurmat Parchaar

Two groups were flown in for this purpose. One was Professor Manendar Singh from Canada. The other was Raagi Jatha of Bhai Avtar Singh (Hoshiarpur Walle). An extensive tour of the country was arranged for them. They were well received all over.

*    A week long programme was held at Wadda Gurdwara, Ipoh. Among the activities held were parchaar, kirtan and a National Kirtan competition that was organized by Perak Sikh Union (PSU) and sponsored by KDM.

*    Religious seminars in Ipoh were held with Professor Manendar Singh as the guest speaker.

*    A commemorative magazine was printed and distributed as souvenirs. Contents of the magazine included :

a)     History of Khalsa Diwan Malaysia

b)    Khalsa Diwan Malaysia projects

*    Letter openers and key-chains were also distributed as souvenirs.

*    All the Punjabi Education Centres in the country held tea parties to celebrate the anniversary.

     *    A high tea was held at Guru Nanak Institution grounds on the 19th of October 2003. Guests included

a)     Member Of Parliament for Kampar, Tan Sri Dato' Hew See Tong
b)    Members from 5 Welfare Homes around Ipoh
c)     Members from the Gurpuri Orphanage

Donations were given to the homes.

 Unveiling Of The Monument in Guru Nanak Institution, Ipoh.

 A monument was built in appreciation of those who sacrificed their time and effort in making Khalsa Diwan Malaysia a well respected and progressive institution.

 The monument was unveiled by Sardar Sowdagar Singh who was the President of KDM from 1976-1997.

 On the 27th Of December, 2003.

 A function was held at Gurdwara Sahib Taiping to thank Waheguru for 100 years of success bestowed upon Khalsa Diwan Malaysia.
